peel  back a corner of the silver night sky
tuck the golden stars in your pocket
and look beyond to
things of glory
and darkness
bright and shining
glimmering eerily
in this little piece of the endless universe
reaching, stretching for a spark of
something greater
and beautifully dangerous
hidden just out of our
line of sight
the edge of perception
and sensation
swirling and leaping
through time
nestling in your heart
